Wat Phra Si Sanpet

Wat Phra Si Sanpet "Temple of the holy, Splendid Omniscient"
The palace was completed in 1351

- Prince U- Thong AKA "King Ramathibodi I" Ordered a royal palace built in the same area that Wat Phra Si Sanpet Stand today in 1350

- Upon finalization of the palace in 1351, he established Ayutthaya as his capital and was bestowed the title of King Ramathibodi I

-The palace contained 3 wooden building named "Phaithun Maha Prasat", "Phaichayon Maha Prasat", "Aisawan Maha Prasat"

- Holiest temple on the site of the old royal palace in Thailand's ancient capital of Ayutthaya 

- Grandest and most beautiful temple

- Served as a model for Wat Phra Kaew in Bangkok

- Temple of the royal family

- Used exclusively for royal ceremonies

- Vihara Luang (Royal Chapel) was built on the palace ground in 1499

- King Ramathibodi II gave orders for the gigantic image of Buddha to be cast and installed in  Wa Phra Si Sanpet. 

- The Buddha was 16m high and covered in gold 

- The Burmese set the building on fire and melted gold in1767 

- All but the chedis were completely destroyed

    1. Chedi is an alternative term for Buddhist stupa. Mainly used in Thailand.

  3. Yes good. Check this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stupa. Look at the heading under Symbolism. I think can be an interesting Treasure that you can learn and understand deeper to create your Treasure.

    It represents earth, water, fire, air ...
